An Event To Remember...

Dearest Prefects,

The much coveted night has come to pass, and all we have left are the memories of the time spent together. I hope that everyone truly enjoyed themselves despite the ehm, delay and minor technical glitches. :) I do believe that the event went quite well, all things considered. So hooray to all of us!! *grin* I, on, behalf of the committee, apologise for any mishaps that happened throughout the night and we thank all of you for supporting this year's reunion! :)

Since i'm posting for today, (and this is my very own opinion) I considered the event successful the moment everyone turned up in either red or black and BOTH! :) Lols. It was great fun seeing everyone dressed up in their respective red and blacks. Don't you all agree?? How awesome is that???

For those of you who would like to provide us with feedback, feel free to post a comment below this entry or email us at prefectsreunion@yahoo.com.

Once again, we, the Prefects' Reunion Organising Committee 2006 (P.R.O.C), extend our gratitude to all of you for attending and supporting this long time tradition of SMKSU prefects. May the TERBAIK spirit live on! :) As our parting gift, we would like to present all of you with the pictures from the night by our very own photographer, Mr. Brandon Tan. :) All pictures can be viewed (and curi-ed) from http://prefects-reunion.fotopic.net/

Hope you guys enjoy the pictures! :)

P/S : To the committee, I personally had a lovely time working with you guys. :) It's now time for US to celebrate a job well done! Kudos to all of us! :)

Countdown, babay! :)

3 more days to the Prefects' Reunion 2006. What does it mean to you?

Not much, perhaps. You'd probably be fretting over attire and transportation. Apart from that, you might even be wondering what is installed for you at the event. But overall, you, the guest, have nothing much to do except wait, and anticipate this annual event.

Which is why I am here to present you with a little checklist in conjunction with the impatient wait for 29th July 2006, Saturday.

1. An attire entirely red, entirely black or a mixture of the two. Yes, we don't care if you decide to come all decked out in the brightest, radiant red ever, or the darkest, deep black. As long as you adhere to the dress code, we're happy. I'd also like to note that it's strictly formal, which means my above absurd examples can only be applied if you have a formal attire that's exaggeratively red or black or both. (Sidenote: We have best dressed awards. :D)

2. Your ticket. Aside from containing your ticket code (Yes, folks, there IS going to be lucky draws!) it also has important details of our events. Most importantly, it's your passport into our inaugural event. So don't forget that 'ancient scroll' before you come.

3. Your watch. Why do I say this? Because while Malaysians are famous for their 'punctuality', we'd like all of you to NOT adopt the 'Malaysian time' for the night, and attempt to arrive at the venue on time. Aside from saving us administrative headache, it'll also ensure you won't miss any second of the dinner.

4. Remember, we are all here to have a great time, rendezvous with old acquaintances and hang out with friends. Keep it clean people, and keep it cool. ;)

What of the committee, you ask? Well, unlike the rest of you, 3 days is a deadline for us.

To realize the value of ONE DAY, ask a daily wage laborer with kids to feed.

Or in your cases, ask any members of the committee. :D

Hope to see all of you there on the 29th July 2006, which is THIS saturday! :)

It's coming!!!

Time is running out...

...as the grains of Time continues to trickle...

...only one question remains...

Quite basically, have YOU got your ticket?

Yes, folks, 29th of July is but a whisper 2 weeks from this day, the anticipation will be close enough to taste. If you have marked the date on your calender, and purchased your entry to this inaugural event, then I congratulate you. If not, then what are you waiting for?

This Prefects' Reunion 2006 marks a few 'first's throughout the history of Prefect Reunions.

Ever been to a reunion with a bona fide certified Deejay before? Well, we hired one. Yes, that's right. Those inspiring individuals whom spend their life co-ordinating music and introducing song to dance floors and discos, we procured the services of one of them. So, if your feet just won't stay still, join in the crowd on 29th of July, and show off your skills during the footloose session.

Dress code sounds alien to you? Read the post below this one, and remember that we are attempting to give rise to an atmosphere of great coherence and fun. We give you a framework to work upon, you use your immense creativity to surprise us with your designs. We challenge you to explore the possibilities of the 'red and black' dress code.

What other wonders will be installed for you in Prefects' Reunion 2006? If I gave away everything, then you wouldn't need to attend now, would you? :)

To those whom have supported our event thus far, thank you. The committee is working hard to ensure that the night will not be a disappointment.

To those whom have yet to confirmed their attendance to this prestigious event, there's still time! We hope to see you there, especially you school leavers. Gather with old acquiantances and relive those happy memories.

No point having a reunion without former prefects attending, right?

About Shah Alam Club

WHY Kelab Shah Alam Selangor you ask? Let us explain to you why.

First and foremost, Kelab Shah Alam Selangor is very well known for having His Royal Highness Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Ibni Almarhum Sultan Salahudin Abdul Aziz Shah Alhaj as their patron. This is not just ANY place to be. It is THE place where one holds grand functions and get the feel of being, for lack of a better word, high-classed. Thus, we are very honoured to have our reunion night at this coveted place, EVEN though it is not a HOTEL. A club does not signify that a place is less than the usual standard. We, as the commitee, can safely say that Kelab Shah Alam Selangor is just as good, if not better than all the other places that our reunions have been held.

Secondly, we, the commitee members felt that it is time to be different. This is the FIRST time we're holding the event at this club. EVERY year, it's been at hotels and God forbid, HOLIDAY VILLA. Aren't you guys close to bored of the place?? It's time for us to get out of our comfort zones in Subang Jaya and venture out to a new place that we have no expectations of UNTIL we go. Place in point : Kelab Shah Alam Selangor. It's just Shah Alam people! About 10 minutes drive using the Federal Highway! Very do-able for just ONE night, don't ya think? :)

Kelab Shah Alam Selangor is without a doubt, beautiful in its own way. From it's ideal hill-top location sited opposite Istana Kayangan, it overlooks the picturesque vicinity of the State Mosque. With its splendid architecture that is truly Malaysian, it will most definitely create a unique & exclusive ambience for our Prefects' Reunion Night 2006.

Imagine walking up this....

.....to the ballroom.

A little taste of what we'll be seeing on the night itself...

Now, wouldn't you all agree with us when we say that THIS is THE place to BE on the 29th of July 2006??

The map :

The lot of you who are prefects OR ex-prefects simply do NOT have an excuse to NOT go. Unless you're out of the country. And even so, there's still time to book that plane ticket home.

Right. Here it is again :
